The brilliant Slovenian pianist Dubravka Tom¹iè gave her first public recital at age five and has since established herself as one of the world´s finest artist. She has given more than 3500 performances throughout Europe, Australia, North America, Mexico, Russia, Asia and Eastern Europe. Ms. Tom¹iè studied at Ljubljana Academy of Music and Juilliard School of Music and subsequently studied privately with Arthur Rubinstein for two years.

Ms. Tom¹iè is considered a pianist of legendary stature by people in many countries. She has performed recitals on prestigious series in London, Amsterdam, Munich, Berlin, Prague, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Budapest, Madrid, Rome and most recently in Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Baltimore, Seattle, Kansas City, Cleveland, Newport, Atlanta, Fort Worth, Los Angeles, and St. Paul. The Celebrity Series of Boston will present her sixth recital in Symphony Hall in March, 2000. Ms. Tom¹iè has performed concerti with major orchestras in London, Vienna, Leipzig, Zurich, Munich, Berlin, Moscow, Dresden, and Salzburg, the Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide Symphonies in Australia, and the New York Philharmonic, Boston, Atlanta, and Detroit Symphonies in the U.S., among others. After her debut performances of Beethoven´s Emperor Concerto with Seiji Ozawa and the Boston Symphony in 1994, she was invited to play additional performances in Boston and New York´s Carnegie Hall and an additional subscription series in 1998.

Dubavka Tom¹iè has performed at prestigious international festivals in Dubrovnik, Vienna, Prague, Naples, Paris, Mexico City, Joliette, Newport (RI), and at Mostly Mozart in New York City, and Tanglewood. More than sixty recordings of recital works and concerti released since 1987 have brought Ms. Tom¹iè worldwide acclaim. Ms. Tom¹iè serves as juror for many international piano competitions, including the Van Cliburn International Competition. She makes her home in Ljubljana, Slovenia and teaches at the Ljubljana Academy of Music.
